Was looking for new bedding for my rabbits after using dust extracted sawdust & had found several sharp/large pieces of wood . Came across this Ecoshred bed & decided to give it a go. I haven’t been disappointed. It’s highly absorbent (much more than sawdust), springy , no dust, and lasts much longer. Plus the seller sent me a link showing how it is made - benefitting the community as well as using material that would otherwise be wasted. That’s impressive! I am a returning customer and I can honestly say that I wouldn't go anywhere else for bedding for my small animals. Rats have incredibly sensitive respiratory systems and since swapping to this I have seen a massive reduction in sneezing and itching. I've tried everything and haven't found anything as good. I used this as a substrate for my Guinea pigs and rats. It is dust free and suitable for both. My Guinea pigs aren’t litter trained and go to the toilet where they sleep, I found it soaks up well and keeps my Guinea pigs dry.  My rats are litter trained but love digging about in it in their play area. It’s lovely and soft and has lasted just over and month of twice weekly clean outs of two enclosures.
